Showroom: Tiles

Please check with your local Flooring Xtra store to confirm whether they stock ceramic, porcelain and cork tiles.

Ceramic and porcelain Tiles

These highly popular styles of tile not only look great and add a touch of class to living areas and bathrooms, they also contain no substances harmful to health. During their manufacture the tiles are fired at high temperatures which effectively creates a closed surface that acts as a protective layer against allergenic substances such as mites and house dust.

Ceramic and porcelain tiles are particularly suitable for underfloor heating because they store and conduct heat while providing an even heat distribution. This method of heating is very efficient as the lack of forced air circulation saves on heating costs.

Long lasting and low maintenance, ceramic and porcelain tiles are certainly an alternative to consider in any renovation project.

Marble Tiles

Marble is a wonderfully expressive material and can make your living areas sophisticated or simple, warm or cool, elegant or rustic, sumptuous or minimalist. The timelessness of marble tiles outlast the fickleness of fashion.

Granite Tiles

Granite tiles consist mainly of quartz with granular structure and crystals of various sizes and colours. Granite is highly resistant to abrasion, compression and staining, and is a highly suitable material for high-traffic areas as well an exterior claddings and floors. Granite tiles are available in polished, flamed and honed finishes.

Cork Tiles

Our cork tiles are an environmentally friendly product that provide warmth, comfort, durability and softness under foot. As a natural insulator, there’s not much greater than cork, it will keep your home warm in winter and cool in summer.

The great news for those of us keen to do our bit to ensure we live in a sustainable planet, cork is a fully sustainable floor covering. The same tree can be sensibly harvested for about two hundred years! Every harvested cork tree fixates between 3 to 5 times more carbon. Cork harvesting is performed with minimal impact on the environment and because cork is a natural product you get to choose from an exciting selection of earthy tones and customised colours to match your interior design project. No trees are cut down to bring you cork tiles.

For those conscious of health, cork tile floors do not absorb dust and are resistant to bacteria and fungus. They do not cause allergies nor pose a risk to asthma sufferers.
