About Bremworth Carpet

Bremworth wool is 100% grown in New Zealand. It's the perfect environment for sheep to thrive and deliver beautifully clean, white fibres to allow perfect colour clarity.

Getting the wool specification right is critical to ensure the delivery of a beautifully designed product that’s soft to touch yet high performing on the floor. For example, if the fibre is too short for the product design it is likely to excessively fluff and pill once installed in your home.

Over the last 60+ years Bremworth have fine-tuned exacting wool specifications for colour, length and thickness to strike the perfect balance between delivering you optimum softness, design and overall performance on the floor.

6 Reasons to Embrace Wool:

Natural Odour Control: The unique properties of wool can resist odours and help control moisture.

Hypo-allergenic genuis: Wool fibres are not linked to allergic reactions.

Fire safety first: Unlike synthetic carpet, wool is naturally fire resistant, and offers a much greater level of fire safety than other fibres.

Natural insulator: Wool carpets naturally improve a room's warmth and acoustics, helping your home stay quieter and cosier.

Modern-family proof: Naturally durable, stain-resistant and easy to clean, our Bremworth wool carpets work hard for whatever modern life throws at them.

100% renewable: Wool fibres are 100% natural, biodegradable and renewable meaning that they are able to regrow and replace (well, as fast as sheep can grow).

Loop pile carpets offer an array of stylish textures and designs, ranging from a minimalist appearance through to bold, unique patterns. Although loop pile carpets don’t show tracking and shading like cut pile carpets, they can still show traffic patterns in areas of the home that are repeatedly walked over in the same area (i.e. hallways).

Sustainability is a journey that involves caring for people, the planet, and profit. Bremworth takes a research-based approach to discover improved sustainability practices. The focus is on natural and compostable solutions, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and carbon footprint reduction. Collaboration with leading experts in the field is essential for a transparent and science-based approach to achieving these goals.

Bremworth is partnering with the University of Auckland and AgResearch plus have three PhD students to add even more brain power to their research team.

In May 2021, Bremworth marked the end of synthetic carpet production, leading to a significant annual reduction of approximately 2,500 tonnes in plastic consumption. The emphasis is on transitioning to circularity by crafting products exclusively from 100% sustainably sourced natural materials that can be easily returned to the earth.

Wool serves as a high-performance, natural substitute for plastic fibres. Originating from New Zealand, wool is 100% biodegradable and a renewable resource
