About Quick-Step Laminate

Quick-Step laminate floors with a waterproof surface are the most natural laminate floors ever made. Made to emulate the feel of real timber, Quick-Step expert designers search for 'perfect originals'; pieces of wood that have the right look and feel to serve as a prototype for a laminate floor. The original piece of wood is then comprehensively scanned including the design, colour, structure and all it's characteristics.

Quick-Step laminate floors have an innovative, water-repellent ‘HydroSeal’ coating even in the grooves, so that no water can penetrate.

Thanks to the Scratch Guard top coating, Quick-Step laminate floors are up to ten times more resistant to scratches than most other laminate floors. Scratch Guard gives your floor lasting protection against wear and tear from falling objects, furniture marks, high heels, etc.

Quick-Step Sustainability
Focus on doing better

Quality, innovation, and sustainability drive Quick-step's leadership in the flooring industry.

A second life for wood:
To maintain sustainability, Quick-Step uses only recovered wood for the wooden core of its laminate and timber flooring, sourced from sawmills, sustainable forest management processes, and roadside maintenance to prevent waste and promote environmental responsibility

Sustainable forest management:
In sustainable forest management, trees are harvested thoughtfully to protect the planet and biodiversity, ensuring a balance between tree cutting and replanting. Quick-Step maximises the use of thinned wood, which includes small or bent trees that may impede the growth of others but are ideal for flooring

Optimising Raw Materials:
Trees are essential in fighting climate change and supporting biodiversity, so it's crucial to handle them with care. Quick-Step reserves slow-growing species like oak for the top layers of our timber flooring. The core of our laminate and timber flooring is crafted from fast-growing tree wood or high-density fiberboard (HDF) made from recovered wood.

Green Energy Initiatives
Unilin has made significant investments in two biomass plants to transform wood dust and non-recyclable wood waste into renewable energy. This energy is first utilised for our production processes, with the surplus being shared with the public. Additionally, we harness energy from windmills and solar panels. As a result, approximately half of our group's production currently runs on renewable energy sources.
