About the role

Our Customer Service Representatives ensure our customers receive the highest level of service, primarily working in our showrooms. You will maintain and build your knowledge of the products found at Flooring Xtra to help our customers potentially make one of biggest decisions for their home.

The showroom will be your pride and joy, and you will ensure that it is always presented and merchandised to the highest level. You will be a team player, and often the glue within the team, working alongside our project, commercial and install teams.

Your day could typically include scheduling site visits, preparing plans to be quantified, completing quotes and contracts. 

Key requirements
  • Preferably have previous experience or an interest in the flooring industry.  
  • Outstanding communication skills with an amazing attitude and the ability to provide an exceptional experience to all our customers.
  • Have the ability to “ask for the sale.”
  • Excellent time management and thrive on being highly organised with the ability to multitask and keep track of several tasks at the same time. 
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capability with the ability to think on your feet. 
  • A vibrant, energetic, and authentic personality with a positive attitude.

Flooring Xtra came to life in 2008 and within six months covered New Zealand. Since
then we have put a few more pins in the map making it even more convenient for kiwis to deal with their favourite flooring retailer. We are now New Zealand’s largest flooring retail brand with over 60 stores from the tip of the North to the toe of the South. Wherever you call home, there’s a locally owned Flooring Xtra nearby. We have been intentionally established as a co-operative because of the value we all place on local ownership, local pride and local relationships. No-one works harder for locals, than locals.
