Flooring Installer, Wānaka

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, for a qualified installer or someone who has begun working in the industry, wants to be a positive part of our team and will love helping deliver dream results for our clients. For the right candidate, this could lead to an apprenticeship in an industry with very good prospects. No formal qualification is required, but experience in the industry is preferred, alongside a full driver's license.

About The Role

Flooring Xtra installers work in the field as a key extension of our sales and store teams.
Our installers provide a quality professional installation service that consistently meets or exceeds Flooring Xtra’s standards of excellence and our customers’ expectations. They are directly responsible for enhancing our customer relationships throughout the installation process.

Key Responsibilities
  • To be able to read and interpret computer-generated and hand-drawn flooring cut plans
  • Take required information to cut down rolls of carpet or vinyl into appropriate shapes and sizes for rooms
  • To inspect and, as required, repair existing substrates prior to installing flooring
  • Remove furniture, uplift and dispose of existing flooring, underlay and smooth edge (as required)
  • Install all flooring products in accordance with both industry and manufacturer's standards
  • Must provide an excellent level of service throughout the installation process in presentation, conduct and respect for our customers and their homes
