Our Story

North West Flooring Xtra has deep roots in the Kumeu community. The business began in 1996, founded by Len Gurney, who remains actively involved today. What started as a small, local flooring company has grown steadily through genuine care, hard work, and strong community relationships. The business is now proudly led by second-generation owner, Brad Gurney, continuing the same values, trust, and commitment that Len established from day one.

We are not a corporate — we’re a local family-owned business that believes in doing things properly. We care about our customers, our installers, our suppliers, and our community. Our focus is simple:

From family homes and lifestyle blocks to new builds, commercial developments, and renovation projects, we work closely with homeowners, builders, designers, and contractors across the North West and Rodney regions.
